Facing challenges of foreign assignments
Studies show that 40 percent of foreign assignees are repatriated earlier than planned. Approximately one third of expatriates quit their jobs before being repatriated. For many assignees, a lack of cultural competence results in enormous stress. Also, spouses of expats and their children have to cope with major difficulties adapting to the new cultural environment. Furthermore, returnees often face major challenges re-integrating into the now “foreign“ organizational culture of their “old” company.
Ideal Preparation for Foreign Assignments Our training programs are designed to assist foreign assignees and their families in coping with the challenges of living and working abroad. Our Repatriation Programs are perfectly tailored to enable the readjustment of expatriate managers and families.
The material learnt has been retained and proven useful over a long period of time. Moreover, it was a highly enjoyable workshop and we were able to talk about out own cultures in a light-hearted manner.
Martina Oberwelland, Human Resources Manager Microsoft CEE Headquarters, Munich
During our recent training, we gained an understanding of how huge differences in mentality between Russia and Germany truly are. This awareness will help us to cooperate with our plant in Kaluga.

The Global Cultures workshop made it possible for our team to focus on the job at hand. Going forward, the workshop will be required preparation for anyone coming to work with friends here in Russia.
