Our approach is based on the following principle:
- Cultural level: It is essential to understand and internalize cultural differences. However, these country-specifics represent only one of the three levels of intercultural understanding.
- Individual level: Another essential factor is recognizing and reflecting on one’s own behavior and the drivers for this behavior. One must recognize how one affects other people abroad and how this influences the efficiency and success of their work in an intercultural environment. For this reason, as well as due to our many years of experience in intercultural support, we actively consider this component in our intercultural measures.
- Company level: If an internationally active employee has high intercultural competence (cultural level) and self-reflection (individual level), but the company has not established the necessary structures for successful cooperation, intercultural success is still at risk. In order for all people involved to embark on the path with enthusiasm and complete it, results and expectations must be communicated clearly and distinctly. Unclear structures, roles and communication channels, as well as a lack of involvement of those affected, disrupt trust in projects and organizations.

In our general intercultural training, the essential skills for targeted intercultural communication and smooth cooperation with international partners are taught. Through practical exercises and case studies, the training participants learn how to deal particularly efficiently with concrete challenges in the target region — for example, target-oriented strategies in negotiations or professional customer-supplier management.
Intercultural training for expatriation and repatriation
Through intercultural preparation and follow-up, difficulties during expatriation and return can be effectively reduced — thus significantly increasing the success rate of expatriations. In addition to preparing the employee to be expatriated, our range of expatriation training also includes preparation for family members. For returning from abroad, we offer special re-integration courses.
