Internationally operating managers – Act in the event of intercultural conflicts

Do not limit yourself to treating symptoms. This will not “cure” the underlying causes of conflicts. With our many years of experience and methodological expertise, we can help you to avoid intercultural “skirmishes” and resolve conflicts. A “truce” is good – but only a “real peace” is the basis for prosperity.

Intercultural conflict management

High transaction costs due to insufficient conflict resolution skills

In international cooperation, many conflicts are often identified too late or not at all. And even if they are identified, they are usually not resolved efficiently because conventional conflict resolution methods do not take the cultural context into account. Here are just a few examples:

  • In some cultures, conflicts are addressed indirectly and then dealt with face to face in a personal conversation between the parties involved, so that the representatives of direct cultures are not even aware of a conflict
  • Open feedback is not a familiar concept in every culture and often leads to major disruptions in relationships between team members
  • Conflict discussions follow very different patterns in different cultures
  • In contrast to Western European countries, mediators in many cultures are more confidants and, in our view, not neutral

With our development programs and training courses, we support your company and your employees in resolving conflicts efficiently and in a culturally appropriate manner. This allows your internationally active employees to concentrate on their core tasks again, increasing their motivation and willingness to perform.
