How to negotiate properly in France: 10 tried-and-tested tips
Intercultural training France – Negotiating is a skill to be learned The French seem so similar to us Germans. But
What is team coaching?
The aim of team coaching is to optimize the work of teams at their workplace. This involves both “thrown-together” teams to solve specific tasks and teams that work together in day-to-day business. Goals and results are defined in advance. So far, so good. However, a key point is that the team coach uses the experience and knowledge of the team members to achieve these goals/results. The topics of the team coaching and the time frame are also defined in advance. Both form the framework for analyzing the difficulties that have arisen in the cooperation between the individual team members, which in turn were the starting point for the need for team coaching.
The team coach plays a key role here. He is responsible for the structure and process of the coaching and assumes the role of a moderator who influences the coaching process in terms of goal achievement by providing advice and feedback. As such, they act in a completely neutral manner. For him, process control and his expertise as a coach are important, not industry experience or technical or commercial knowledge.
The range of topics covered by team coaching is broad and generally not limited. The following topics are examples of topics that are both interdependent and can be combined with each other:
Team coaching is neither a training measure nor a permanent support measure. It is also not consulting, as the aim is to leverage and utilize the team’s inherent resources in order to improve team performance. So save yourself horrendous bills from consultants to whom you first have to explain your business yourself. Instead, start by using a source of expertise that already exists in your company – your employees!
As you would expect, the first step is to analyze the current situation together with the team members. Based on this analysis, the team coaching topics are developed and incorporated into a work plan that forms a fixed framework for further coaching. The formulation of the respective goals is followed by the development of the necessary resources and optimization steps. This can be done both in small groups and in plenary sessions. Role plays and additional information blocks complete the range of possible actions.
At the end of the process, targets are agreed that represent the roadmap for implementing the optimization measures. At the same time, commitments are agreed with the team members in order to define and determine the contribution of each individual or the entire team. Responsibility for the actual implementation of the results lies with the team members or their managers at the end of the team coaching.
It goes without saying that team coaching is subject to strict confidentiality. This is a prerequisite for a working atmosphere that is as open as possible. Superiors or other company units are informed as part of coordinated presentations of the results.
If necessary, individual coaching for specific employees, team leaders or managers can be provided in addition to team coaching as an accompanying measure.
The immediate benefits of team coaching for your employees can be summarized as follows:
As a company, you benefit from increased employee productivity, faster and more targeted actions, fewer misunderstandings, less friction and accelerated project work. International teams in particular face additional challenges due to different mentalities and expectations. These are further intensified when team members are scattered across the globe and have to communicate and work remotely!
Our trained and experienced coaches enable your teams to overcome problems on their own and significantly improve their performance. Before you spend a lot of money on external consultants, you should therefore first think about exploiting your own potential. After all, the best experts for your business are those who deal with it on a daily basis – your employees!
